Healthy Macaroni and Cheese

Description:
This uses the standard package of macaroni and cheese from the grocery store which most every kid loves. I add things to it that my toddler wouldn't normally eat, like brocoli or spinach and turkeydog/hotdog/veggiedog to make it more nutritious. Quick and easy to make too (15minutes) |
Ingredients:
1 Package of macaroni and cheese
1 head of brocoili (and/or a little spinach)
1 turkeydog/hotdoge |
Directions:
Cook macaroni and cheese as per directions on box
Put the brocoli in a blender briefly (or dice up very small with knife- I tried this but it was never small enough for her not to notice and complain about) and add it when done.
Dice slices of hotdog/turkeydog/veggiedog up and add them. They all taste similar when covered in the cheese.
Stir it all together. Done ! Not a bad compromise if your kids won't eat the healthy things. |
