Description: Very nutritious and simple pasta and tomato sauce. It's the healthiest meal I can get my daughter to eat. If anyone can tell me another way to get them to eat 3 different veggies at one meal I'ld like to hear it ! Feeds 4 easily |
Ingredients: - 2 cups Rotini or Fusellini or Macaroni, my daughter prefers these to spaghetti or fettuccine
- 1 to 1.5 cup hamburger
- 1 large can of tomato sauce
- 1 handfull each of brocoli, mushrooms and spinach |
Directions: - Start water boiling to cook pasta
- low heat fry the hamburger (overcooking makes it tough). break it up into very small pieces
- boil brocoli for 2 minutes or microwave in water for 2 minutes
- briefly cut up brocoli, mushrooms and spinach and place in a blender with 1-2 cups tomato sauce. Blend for 1 minute. Add rest of sauce when done.
- mix sauce with hamburger and add to pasta for serving

| I've used macaroni and Fusellini and put cooked cauliflower and brocolli in hand blender and then into the sauce, my toddler loved it. |
| Try adding some tomato paste if the sauce starts getting a
little bland with all the veggies, the tomato paste is like
concentrated tomato and adds the flavor back. |
